Hey everyone, been with MGM for a few years now and lately things feel...off. My department's been pushing back on new hires for months, and even essential roles are taking forever to get approved. It's not just my team either, I've heard whispers from folks in other divisions about similar slowdowns. Management keeps talking about 'optimizing resources' and 'strategic realignment,' which sounds like corporate speak for 'tightening the belt.' Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this, or if it's just our specific location. Are budgets being slashed everywhere? Is anyone else worried about what this might mean down the line? Trying not to panic, but it's hard not to connect the dots when everything slows to a crawl.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that too. It's been a noticeable shift over the past six months or so. The usual buzz of recruitment seems to have quieted down significantly. Even for positions that are critical, the approval process feels like pulling teeth. It's creating a lot of extra work for existing staff, and frankly, it's starting to affect morale. Hoping it's a temporary situation and not a sign of bigger issues down the line.
