MGM Resorts - Performance review cycle feel different this year?

Just finished up my annual review with MGM, and honestly, it felt a lot more intense and outcome-focused than usual. The feedback was constructive, but there was a definite emphasis on ROI and productivity. My manager kept bringing up efficiency metrics and how everyone needs to be pulling their weight. It's got me wondering if this is just my department or if it's a broader company-wide push. I know there's no official layoff news, but the tone of these reviews, coupled with the hiring freeze mentioned by others, has me on edge. It feels like they're really evaluating headcount and performance very closely. Anyone else experiencing this during their reviews? Curious to hear if others feel the pressure or if it's just me.

I've noticed a similar shift in my own review process recently. It feels like there's a renewed focus on quantifiable results and making sure every role is directly contributing to the bottom line. While I appreciate the clarity, it does add a layer of pressure. It makes you wonder about the broader economic climate impacting corporate strategy, but hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment to ensure everyone's aligned and performing at their best.
