MGM Resorts - Significant budget cuts happening?

Okay, I'm going to be blunt. I've been seeing some really concerning signs at MGM lately, and I'm trying to gauge if this is widespread or isolated. We just had a major internal review where several projects were put on indefinite hold, and some departmental budgets were slashed pretty aggressively. It feels like more than just a seasonal slowdown. There's a definite air of uncertainty among the senior staff, and the usual 'business as usual' chatter seems forced. Has anyone else experienced something similar recently? Are there talks of restructuring or efficiency drives that go beyond the usual buzzwords? I'm not trying to spread fear, but I also don't want to be caught completely off guard if things take a turn. Any insights from other properties or divisions would be super helpful right now.

I've heard some whispers about belt-tightening. My department hasn't seen anything drastic yet, but there's definitely a noticeable increase in scrutiny on expenses and a longer approval process for new initiatives. Management is talking a lot about 'optimizing resources' and 'streamlining operations.' It's hard to say if it's widespread across all properties or specific to certain divisions, but the sentiment is there – things feel a bit tighter than usual.

That's concerning to hear about project holds and budget cuts. While I haven't personally witnessed anything that severe, there has been a definite shift in tone over the last quarter. There's a bit more caution in how decisions are being made, and any non-essential spending is definitely being questioned. I'm hoping it's just a proactive measure to ensure long-term stability, but the uncertainty you mentioned is definitely palpable.
