MGM Resorts - What's the vibe in your division lately?

Just checking in with my MGM peeps. My team has been under a lot of pressure lately, with management talking about 'efficiency gains' and 'streamlining operations.' We're being asked to do more with less, and frankly, it's starting to feel unsustainable. Saw a post the other day about another company's layoffs, and it got me thinking about our own situation. No official word from corporate, of course, but the undercurrent feels different. People are getting quieter in meetings, and there's a general sense of anxiety when leadership talks about the future. Is this just my division, or is there a broader mood shift happening across MGM? Any specific departments feeling the pinch more than others? Curious if others are experiencing similar pressures or hearing any chatter that isn't making it to the official comms channels. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your role might be on the chopping block, even if nothing is confirmed. What are your thoughts?

I feel you on the 'efficiency gains' talk. My department has been through a similar squeeze. It's definitely a balancing act between being productive and not burning out the team. Management communication can make a huge difference, or lack thereof. Hope things stabilize soon and we can get back to focusing on the guest experience without feeling like every minute is accounted for in a spreadsheet.

Yeah, that 'undercurrent' is definitely palpable. We're seeing similar discussions about resource allocation and project scope. It's tough when you're trying to deliver quality work but feel the constraints tightening. Keep your ears to the ground, but also focus on your immediate tasks. Sometimes, the best defense is just doing your job well and supporting your colleagues.
