MGM Santa Ana layoffs - anyone have the list?

So I see the WARN notice finally hit the books for the May 21st cuts in Santa Ana. 34 people gone just like that. Is anyone actually surprised at this point? I’ve been hearing rumblings about 'operational efficiencies' for months, but it’s always the same story—the higher-ups get their bonuses while the people actually running the floor get the pink slip. Does anyone know which departments got hit the hardest this time? It seems like it was pretty localized, but with the way MGM has been moving lately, I’m worried this is just the first wave of a much larger restructuring for the California operations. I’ve been checking internal systems but everything is locked down tight. If you got affected or know someone who did, hope you’re hanging in there. The market is brutal right now, but reach out if you need a referral or just need to vent.

It is honestly pathetic how they hide behind buzzwords like 'operational efficiencies' to mask the fact that they are gutting their workforce. I worked at that property for three years and saw the writing on the wall long before the WARN notice dropped. They prioritize shareholder dividends over the people who keep the lights on. It was mostly the back-office and support staff that took the brunt of it this time, but the morale in the building is completely shattered. Don't expect any transparency from management; they already have their golden parachutes ready.

I understand the frustration, but these cuts were unfortunately inevitable given the current quarterly earnings reports. Everyone knew the company was looking to trim fat to offset the declining foot traffic in those regional markets. It is never easy to see colleagues lose their jobs, but calling this a surprise feels a bit naive. MGM has been tightening the belt across the board for a while now. Instead of speculating on department lists, you are better off polishing your resume and looking for opportunities in sectors that aren't actively downsizing.
