Anyone else feeling the chill at Microchip?

Seeing a lot of chatter online, specifically on HN, about potential layoffs at Microchip, citing automotive demand. While nothing official has come out internally, it's definitely making people nervous. Been hearing whispers and seeing some projects slow down, which isn't exactly confidence-inspiring. Anyone in other divisions seeing similar trends or hearing anything more concrete? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or specific to certain departments. It's tough when you hear rumors but have no official confirmation. Just want to know what's up and if I should be updating my resume proactively. The uncertainty is the worst part.

Yeah, I've definitely picked up on some of those rumors too. It's unsettling not knowing for sure, especially with how the market's been. I haven't seen any direct impacts in my area yet, but the general anxiety is palpable. Hoping it's just a lot of noise and things will stabilize soon. It's hard to focus when there's so much uncertainty floating around the office, even if it's just talk for now. We all do our best work when we feel secure.
