Anyone else seeing 'efficiency' initiatives everywhere?

Just started noticing a lot more talk about 'streamlining' and 'optimizing' processes across different departments lately. Seems like every other meeting has some consultant or internal team presenting on how we can 'do more with less'. Feels a bit buzzwordy, but it's definitely a recurring theme. I'm in [department, e.g., Sales/Marketing/Operations] and we've had a few 'workshops' that felt like they were laying the groundwork for something. Not hearing any direct layoff talk, but the constant push for efficiency makes me a little uneasy. Anyone else in a different part of the company experiencing this? Trying to gauge if it's a company-wide push or just specific teams. Kinda weird how much emphasis is being put on 'future-proofing' and 'agility' right now. Just want to hear if others are feeling this shift.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling that too. It seems like a lot of companies are looking at their bottom line and trying to squeeze out every bit of efficiency. My department has been doing a lot of process mapping lately, which always feels like it precedes some kind of change, whether it's new tech or a shift in roles. Let's hope it leads to actual improvements rather than just more paperwork.

Totally. The 'efficiency' drive is in full swing here as well. We're being asked to analyze our workflows and identify redundancies. While I appreciate the push for smarter operations, I'm also a bit skeptical. Sometimes these initiatives feel like a way to justify headcount reductions down the line, even if no one is explicitly saying it. Curious to see what concrete actions come out of all these discussions.
