Anyone else seeing the writing on the wall after this week?

It’s honestly getting hard to keep morale up when the news cycle at this company is just one announcement after another. I saw the WARN notice hit for Milwaukee and Chippewa, and even though it’s ‘only’ 90 people this time, it feels like the start of a much longer winter. Leadership keeps talking about ‘streamlining’ and ‘efficiency,’ but we all know that’s just corporate speak for doing the same amount of work with 20% fewer hands. I’ve been talking to a few colleagues in my department and everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. If you aren't already updating your resume, what are you waiting for? I don’t think this ends with the January 17th group. Just feeling pretty burnt out and cynical about the future here. Has anyone heard if there are going to be further cuts in the regional offices, or is this focused solely on the manufacturing/brewing side for now?

I hear you. The 'streamlining' language is a classic red flag that usually signals deeper trouble ahead. When you combine those WARN notices with the general market shift away from legacy brands, it’s impossible not to feel anxious. People are exhausted from being asked to cover the gaps left by everyone who’s already walked out the door. It feels less like a strategic pivot and more like a slow burn toward a skeleton crew. Watch your back and keep your resume updated because the math never adds up in the long run.

Honestly, the constant pivots are wearing us all down. I remember when we were focused on brewing quality, but now it feels like every meeting is just about headcount reduction and synergy targets. It’s hard to stay invested in the mission when you don’t know if your desk will still be there in six months. It’s definitely not just you noticing the pattern. The volume of departures is starting to hollow out the institutional knowledge, and honestly, the remaining team is just plain burnt out trying to keep the lights on.
