The uncertainty is honestly the worst part of the whole situation. I’ve been through a few of these restructuring phases before, and the silence from leadership only feeds the rumors. My team has effectively stopped collaborating because everyone is guarding their own tasks and trying to prove their individual worth. It’s draining to walk into the office every day feeling like the environment is actively working against your peace of mind. Just focus on your exit strategy and keep your resume updated in case they decide to pull the plug on more departments next month.
Hang in there. I’ve been hearing whispers through the grapevine that mid-January is just the beginning and that they’re planning to consolidate even further by Q2. It’s completely unfair that they aren't providing any transparency, especially since we’re all supposed to be hitting these aggressive annual targets while waiting for the axe to fall. Honestly, the morale is beyond repair at this point. If you have the capacity to start looking for something else, I would definitely prioritize that over trying to prove loyalty to a company that clearly treats us like replaceable line items.
