Severance packages after the Philly cuts

Has anyone actually received their formal separation agreement yet following the 51 roles cut on the 8th? I’m hearing different things depending on the department, but it sounds like the tenure-based multipliers aren't as generous as the last round in 2023. I’ve been here over a decade and the package feels like a slap in the face given the current state of the job market. Are they fighting anyone on the non-compete clauses, or is that mostly boilerplate at this point? I’m trying to decide if I need to take this to an employment lawyer before signing. This whole process has been handled with zero empathy, just the usual 'restructuring for efficiency' corporate speak. It’s tough seeing colleagues who gave their lives to this place get pushed out the door with minimal support. If anyone has insight on whether these packages are negotiable or if it's a 'take it or leave it' situation, please share. I’m just trying to figure out my next move and stay afloat.

I haven't seen the paperwork arrive yet, but I've heard similar rumblings from folks in supply chain. It's incredibly frustrating to see tenure being treated as an afterthought when you've given over ten years to this place. Don't sign anything immediately. If you have the means, have an employment lawyer look over that non-compete section. They use that boilerplate language to scare people, but depending on your specific role and state laws, it might not even hold up in court. Keep your head up and document everything while you wait for the formal offer.

Honestly, the lack of transparency is the worst part of this whole situation. I’m in a different department and we’re getting zero guidance, just vague HR emails. If the multipliers are really lower than 2023, it’s a clear signal that they’re tightening the belt at the expense of loyal employees. Regarding the non-compete, most people I know who left last year just ignored the threats, but definitely don't take their word for it. It’s a tough market right now, so make sure you get whatever severance you can before you start looking elsewhere.
