The 'optimization' talk at Mondelez is getting intense.

Anyone else at Mondelez feeling the pressure from all the 'optimization' and 'synergy' talk? Feels like it's been ramped up significantly in the last quarter. There's a lot of corporate speak about making things leaner and more agile, but it's translating into a lot of uncertainty on the ground. My department has seen some key people leave recently, and instead of backfilling, we're being asked to absorb their workload while simultaneously being told we need to be more efficient. It's a bit of a catch-22. How can we be more efficient when we're stretched thinner than ever? And what does this all lead to? I'm trying to stay positive, but the lack of clear communication about the 'why' behind all these changes is definitely causing some anxiety. Just wondering if this is a wider trend across the company or if my specific division is going through a rough patch. Trying to gauge the temperature here. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah, the 'synergy' meetings are becoming a daily ritual. It's like they've got a new buzzword bingo card to fill. Feels less like 'optimization' and more like 'doing more with less, but don't ask for more resources.' The uncertainty is definitely palpable, and it's tough seeing good people walk out the door without replacements. Hoping this phase passes soon.

Totally feel this. The 'leaner and more agile' narrative is exhausting. We're being pushed to hit targets that feel impossible with the current staffing levels. It's creating a lot of stress and frankly, burnout is starting to become a real concern. Anyone have any tips for navigating this constant state of flux without losing your mind?
