MongoDB: How's the Q4 performance review season treating everyone?

So, Q4 review season is upon us at Mongo, and honestly, it feels different this year. Heard through the grapevine that ratings might be a bit tighter, and there's a whisper about a promotion freeze. My own review wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly stellar either, and the feedback felt a bit generic. Just curious to hear from others – how did your reviews go? Are you seeing the same 'performance gating' or stricter calibration discussions? Trying to understand if this is an isolated experience or a company-wide trend. Feels like a bit of a pressure cooker in here lately.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling the same vibe here. My review was... okay. Lots of talk about 'potential' and 'next steps' but very little concrete movement or acknowledgment of the grind. The 'calibration' meetings felt like they were trying to find reasons to keep numbers down, which is frustrating when you know you've put in the work. Feels like the goalposts moved mid-quarter.

Mine was pretty similar, actually. The feedback was fine, but it lacked the specificity I've come to expect. It's hard to act on vague suggestions, especially when you're aiming for a promotion. Heard similar rumblings about a potential freeze from colleagues in other departments too, so it sounds like it might be a company-wide trend rather than just your team. Hope things improve soon.
