Anyone else feeling the budget tightening around here?

Hey all, just wanted to see if anyone else at Moody's has been noticing some significant budget tightening lately. Been with the company for a few years now and things just feel...different. Travel requests are getting scrutinized way more than usual, new hires seem to be on hold for almost every team I talk to, and there's a general sense of 'doing more with less' being pushed from leadership. Not seeing any official announcements or anything concrete, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Anyone else picking up on this? Wondering if it's just my department or a broader trend across the company.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. It's not just you. The usual expense approvals seem to be taking longer, and there's a noticeable hesitation on approving things that might have been greenlit without a second thought a year ago. Makes you wonder what's on the horizon. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger issues down the line.

Seconding this. The 'efficiency' drive feels more intense than usual. I've also heard whispers about certain projects being put on the back burner or scaled down. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, which isn't ideal when you're trying to plan and execute. Hoping for some clearer communication soon so everyone's on the same page about the strategy.
