Anyone else feeling super uneasy right now?

I've been at MS for 7 years now, in a tech role supporting the wealth management division. Usually things are pretty stable, but the last few weeks have been weird. Lots of closed-door meetings, whispers in the hallways, and my manager seems stressed. I know the markets haven't been great, and I keep hearing about other firms doing layoffs. Anyone else getting a bad vibe where they are? Or am I just being paranoid? I haven't started dusting off my resume, but might be time to start...

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. I'm in a different division, but same deal with the hushed tones and nervous energy. Honestly, I'd start updating that resume. It doesn't hurt to be prepared, even if it's just to calm your own anxiety. Remember 2008? Better to be proactive than reactive. Good luck!

Honestly, it sounds like you're overreacting a bit. Every large company goes through periods like this. Markets fluctuate, there are always internal reorganizations happening. Seven years is a good run; don't let some whispers spook you into making a rash decision. Unless you have concrete evidence of layoffs, I'd say stay put and focus on your work.
