Is the hiring freeze really a thing? Feels weird out here.

Hey everyone, been at MS for about 4 years now, working in the Wealth Management division. For the last couple of months, it's felt like a total hiring freeze across most of the teams I interact with. My own team hasn't onboarded anyone new in ages, and when we lost someone in Q2, the role is still vacant. We were told it was 'under review'. Anyone else in different divisions seeing this? It's making me a little nervous about future growth and even stability, honestly. We're hitting budget season soon and I can't imagine them opening up headcount. Trying not to panic but it's hard when the signal is so quiet.
