Just saw the WARN notice go live for the California office. It looks like 16 people were given the boot officially effective August 31st. I know the company has been trying to keep the internal communications vague, but it's hard to ignore the filings. Is anyone else hearing if this is just the tip of the iceberg, or are they planning to contain these cuts to just that site? It feels like the atmosphere in the office has been tense for months now and I’m just trying to figure out if I need to start polishing up my resume this weekend or if we’re safe for the rest of the quarter. If you were one of the folks impacted, I’m really sorry to hear that. Any info on what packages they are offering would be appreciated, just so we know what the baseline is right now.

The WARN notice confirms what most of us have been dreading since the last all-hands meeting. Management keeps talking about 'restructuring' and 'optimizing,' but we all know that is just corporate speak for layoffs. Sixteen people is a significant hit for that specific office, and the silence from leadership is incredibly demoralizing. I’m hearing whispers that this isn't the end of the cuts, and honestly, the lack of transparency is making it impossible to focus on actual work. If you're looking for stability, this definitely doesn't feel like the place to be right now.

It is honestly pathetic how they try to spin these filings. You can see the shift in the office culture; people are walking on eggshells because nobody knows who is next on the chopping block. The fact that they aren't being upfront about whether more locations are at risk is just cruel. We are all just checking our emails every five minutes, waiting for another notification to drop. At this point, the best advice is to update your resume and start looking elsewhere, because waiting for them to tell us the truth is clearly a waste of time.
