MSI - Feeling the pinch? Reduced travel/training budgets?

Anyone else at Motorola Solutions seeing significant cuts to travel and training budgets lately? I've had a couple of conferences I was planning to attend get pushed back or cancelled outright, and requests for external training seem to be getting a lot more scrutiny than usual. My team lead mentioned that budgets are 'tight' across the board, but it feels more than just a typical budget cycle. It's making it harder to stay up-to-date with industry trends and network. Is this a sign of broader cost-cutting measures happening behind the scenes? It's a bit concerning, especially when we're supposed to be innovating. Curious to hear if others are experiencing this. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it feels like a pattern. Let me know what you're seeing.

Yeah, I'm definitely seeing the same thing. Several training requests I submitted were denied or deferred, with the explanation that we need to be more mindful of spending. It's a bit frustrating because professional development is so crucial in our field, and these cuts make it harder to keep skills sharp and stay competitive. Hopefully, this is just a temporary situation and things will loosen up soon. It does make you wonder what the long-term strategy is when essential development gets trimmed.
