MSCI: Anyone else feeling the pressure post-earnings?

Hey everyone, Seeing a lot of chatter on here and elsewhere about MSCI after the last earnings call. While there's been no official word on layoffs, the vibe feels... tense. Been noticing a lot more 'efficiency reviews' and 'strategic realignments' being mentioned in internal comms. My team's manager has been cagey about project roadmaps for Q3/Q4, which is unusual. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Seeing any project freezes or hiring slowdowns that feel more than just typical seasonality? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide sentiment or if I'm just in a specific area feeling the squeeze. It's hard to tell when official comms are always so positive. Trying to stay optimistic but also want to be prepared if things do shift.

I'm definitely feeling it too. My department's been asked to justify every single role and every dollar spent, which isn't the norm. We used to be able to plan ahead with more confidence, but now it feels like everything is up in the air. The internal communications are definitely more guarded, and any mention of future projects comes with a lot of caveats. It's making it hard to stay motivated when you're not sure what the next few months will bring.

Interesting to hear others are experiencing the same uncertainty. Our team's been informally told to hold off on initiating new projects, even ones that were previously approved. Hiring has also completely stopped, which is a stark contrast to last year. The 'efficiency reviews' sound like corporate speak for something more significant, and the lack of transparency about Q3/Q4 plans is definitely adding to the anxiety. Hoping for some clarity soon.
