MSCI: Anyone else notice a significant slowdown in hiring?

Hey everyone, been lurking for a while but wanted to get some thoughts. I've been seeing fewer and fewer new roles posted at MSCI lately, and the ones that are up seem to be open for ages. My team's been trying to backfill a couple of positions for months with no luck, and it feels like the approval process is way slower than it used to be. Is this just me, or are others experiencing this? Feels like a sign of things to come, even though there's no official word. Curious if anyone has heard anything, even if it's just anecdotal. Been here a few years and this feels different. Are we tightening the belt quietly?

I've definitely noticed a similar trend. The pipeline for new opportunities seems to have tightened up considerably over the past six months or so. It’s not just the quantity of roles, but the speed of the hiring process itself feels like it's hit a wall. My department has also experienced significant delays in filling critical positions, and the feedback loop on candidates has been agonizingly slow. It’s making strategic planning very difficult when you can’t rely on getting the headcount you need in a reasonable timeframe. Hopefully, this is just a temporary adjustment.

I can echo that sentiment. My team’s been trying to bring on new talent for a while now, and it feels like an uphill battle. Roles that would typically be filled within a few weeks are now lingering for months, and sometimes they disappear altogether without explanation. The lack of transparency around it is frustrating. It’s hard to gauge the company’s direction when the hiring velocity clearly doesn't match previous periods. I'm hoping it's just a strategic pause or a reallocation of resources, but it does create a sense of unease about future growth.
