MSCI: Anyone else seeing project pipeline shrink?

Long-time MSCI employee here. Lately, it feels like the big initiatives and new client commitments are drying up. Used to be we were constantly juggling multiple new projects, but now it feels like everyone is scrambling to find billable work or focus on existing accounts. Sales pipeline seems way less robust than it was even six months ago. Is this just a cyclical thing in the financial data world, or is MSCI facing some specific headwinds? Wondering if others in product development, sales, or client coverage are seeing the same thing. It's making me a bit nervous about future growth and, frankly, job security. Any insights would be appreciated.

I've noticed a similar trend from my end in client services. The urgency and volume of requests for new integrations or major platform expansions seem to have decreased. It's definitely a shift from the usual hustle. I'm wondering if the economic climate is making clients more cautious about large investments, or if there's a broader market reevaluation of data providers happening. It would be helpful to get some clarity on the company's strategic outlook.

Definitely feeling the pinch in sales too. It's taking longer to close deals, and the number of qualified leads feels thinner. We're having to work harder to demonstrate ROI on existing services rather than landing entirely new flagship projects. I suspect it's a combination of factors – market saturation in some areas, clients consolidating vendors, and perhaps a need for MSCI to innovate more aggressively in emerging sectors. It's a challenging environment right now.
