Hey all, been at M&T for a few years now and things feel... different. Hiring seemed to freeze up about 3-4 months ago, and now there's this weird quiet. Performance reviews just wrapped up, and the feedback felt a bit more critical than usual, even for solid performers. I'm not hearing any official word, but the rumor mill is starting to churn. Anyone else picking up on this? Has anyone in certain departments seen any reshuffling or heard anything concrete about potential headcount adjustments? Just trying to get a lay of the land before things potentially get hairy. It's unnerving not knowing what's brewing. My team lead is being super vague, which isn't helping.

Yeah, I've noticed the shift too. The atmosphere has definitely gotten more tense over the last few months. It's hard to put a finger on it, but there's a general feeling of uncertainty. The hiring freeze definitely sent ripples, and it seems like everyone's a bit on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm trying to stay focused on my work, but it's tough when there's so much unspoken tension around. Hopefully, we'll get some clarity soon.
