Anyone else feeling the squeeze at NetApp? Rumors flying...

Hey everyone, I'm seeing a lot of chatter on Blind and elsewhere about potential layoffs at NetApp, but nothing concrete from official channels yet. Some of the posts reference past cuts (like the 8-12% ones a few years back) and are linking it to the current economic climate and customer spending slowdown. My own team hasn't had any direct announcements, but there's definitely an underlying tension. Are people hearing anything specific on the ground? Has anyone's manager alluded to anything, even vaguely? Just trying to get a sense of the real situation before things potentially get serious. It's tough to stay focused when you're constantly looking over your shoulder. Trying to stay positive and keep my head down, but the uncertainty is the worst part. Anyone else in a similar boat? What are you doing to prepare?

Yeah, the uncertainty is palpable. Even without official word, the whispers are loud enough to create a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere. It feels like everyone's just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hard to stay focused on day-to-day tasks when there's so much background noise about the future.

Interesting to see this thread pop up. While I haven't heard anything definitive from leadership, you can definitely feel a shift. Morale seems a bit lower than usual, and people are understandably anxious. It's tough because there's no clear information to either calm nerves or prepare for the worst.
