Anyone else notice hiring freeze / budget cuts recently?

Just wondering if this is a NetApp-wide thing. Been trying to get a req approved for a new hire on my team for months now and it keeps getting pushed back. Heard from a friend in another division that they've also put a pause on all new headcount unless it's absolutely critical. Budgets for training and travel also seem to be slashed pretty hard. This feels like it could be a precursor to something bigger, or maybe just a reaction to the current economic climate. It's definitely impacting morale and making it harder to get work done. Curious to hear if others are experiencing similar budget tightening or hiring freezes across different orgs at NetApp.

Yeah, I've been hearing similar rumblings across the board. My team's been trying to get a new role approved for what feels like ages, and it's just one delay after another. It's definitely frustrating, and the lack of clarity on whether this is a temporary blip or a more significant shift is making people nervous. The impact on morale is palpable when you see essential positions going unfilled and resources for development drying up. Hopefully, it's just a temporary recalibration due to market conditions, but it's hard not to worry about what it might signal for the future.
