So, the hiring freeze at NetApp feels pretty solidified at this point. Open reqs are being canceled left and right, and even for critical roles, the approval process seems to be stalled indefinitely. My manager alluded to 'budgetary constraints' and 're-evaluating resource allocation' for the next couple of quarters. This feels different from the usual cyclical hiring slowdowns. It's making me nervous about potential larger structural changes. Are these hiring freezes standard practice during economic downturns, or do you think this is a precursor to something more significant at NetApp, like the layoffs we've seen in the past? Yeah, I'm hearing similar rumblings across different departments. It's definitely not just a quick pause.
