Layoff concerns growing - what's the vibe?

With all the news about tech companies restructuring and cutting costs, I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about NetApp. I know there haven't been any official announcements, but it feels like the quiet before a storm sometimes. My team's been feeling the pressure, and there's been less travel, fewer external hires, and just a general sense of 'do more with less'. I've seen older articles about layoffs here in the past, and while I'm hoping it's not the case again, the current market conditions make it hard not to worry. Has anyone else noticed anything that might suggest potential layoffs? Are there specific departments feeling more heat than others? Just looking to gauge the general sentiment and see if anyone has heard anything, even anecdotal evidence, that might shed some light. Trying to stay positive, but it's tough when the economic outlook isn't exactly rosy.

It's understandable to feel that way, especially with the broader industry trends. That 'do more with less' feeling is definitely palpable in many places right now. While there's no official word, the anecdotal signs you're mentioning – travel cuts, hiring freezes – are often precursors to adjustments. Hopefully, it's just a cyclical thing and not something more serious, but it's wise to be aware and prepared.

I hear you. The uncertainty is the worst part. It's hard to gauge the real situation when official channels are quiet, but the subtle shifts you're observing are hard to ignore. I've been in similar situations before, and that feeling of unease can be quite draining. Wishing you and your team some clarity and stability soon, whatever the future holds.
