Anyone else feeling the vibe at Newmont lately?

Hey all, been with Newmont for a few years now, mostly in a corporate role. Lately, there's been a weird buzz around the office. I haven't heard any concrete news about layoffs, but there's definitely a feeling of uncertainty. Projects are being scrutinized more heavily, and there's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency improvements' and 'streamlining operations'. I know the company went through that big acquisition recently, and those usually come with some kind of restructuring. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on this, or if I'm just being paranoid. Anyone in different departments or locations seeing or hearing anything similar? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just something in my specific area. Curious about what others are experiencing.

Yeah, I'm feeling that uncertainty too, even out at one of the mine sites. We've been hearing a lot about cost-cutting measures and a general push to optimize everything. While I understand the need for efficiency, especially after a major acquisition, it does create a bit of a tense atmosphere. Hopefully, it's just the usual post-merger jitters and not anything more serious. Keeping an eye on things.

The corporate side definitely feels it. The 'efficiency improvements' talk is constant, and it seems like every budget line is under a microscope. It's a bit unnerving when you don't have clear answers, but you're seeing more scrutiny on existing processes. I'm hoping this leads to positive changes in the long run, but right now, it's just creating a lot of questions and a general sense of watching our backs.
