Morale check: How are things *really* feeling at Newmont right now?

Yo, Beyond the usual ups and downs of the industry, I'm curious about the general sentiment across Newmont. Feels like there's been a shift in the atmosphere lately. People seem a bit more reserved, maybe a little stressed. It's not just one team or location; it feels more widespread. Is this just me, or are others feeling a dip in morale? Are projects being slowed down? Are there more 'hustle' emails coming down from leadership that feel more like pressure than motivation? I'm not talking about impending doom or anything, but the everyday vibe seems…off. It's making it harder to be engaged when there's this underlying current of unease. Would love to hear from people in different roles and divisions. Are you seeing the same thing? Any thoughts on what might be contributing to this feeling? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just catching a bad wave. Let's keep it real.

Honestly, I'm feeling it too. Seems like there's a lot of uncertainty floating around, and it's definitely trickling down. Leadership messaging feels a bit disjointed, and the 'do more with less' mantra is getting old. I've seen a few good people start looking elsewhere, which never bodes well. It's a tough market out there, and feeling supported makes a huge difference. Right now, that support feels a little thin.

Interesting to hear others are feeling the same. My take is that the recent acquisitions and restructuring have created a lot of apprehension. People are worried about their roles and how things will shake out. The constant stream of 'urgent' tasks without clear priorities is exhausting. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like you're just treading water or, worse, paddling backward. Hoping for some clearer direction soon.
