Newmont - Salary adjustments and retention concerns?

Hey all, been at NEM for a few years now, and while there haven't been any official announcements or major layoff waves that I've heard of, I'm getting a weird vibe lately. My comp review just came through, and honestly, it felt a bit... light. Especially considering the current economic climate and what I'm seeing other companies offer. Has anyone else experienced similar with their compensation recently? I'm wondering if this is a broader trend across the company, maybe a way to cut costs subtly without the big, public layoffs. Retention has always been pretty good here, but I'm starting to hear murmurs from folks who are looking elsewhere because their pay isn't keeping up. It's not just about the money, but it feels like a sign. Performance reviews are coming up soon too, and I'm worried that might tie into future role security, even if nothing is explicitly said. Anyone else feeling this disconnect between their contributions and their compensation/company messaging?

Yeah, I've felt that too. My comp last cycle was definitely less than stellar, and I'm starting to wonder about future prospects here. It's tough when you feel like you're not being recognized for your contributions, especially when market rates seem to be climbing elsewhere. Keeping an eye on things and exploring options.

Interesting to hear this. I haven't seen a huge dip in my pay, but the increases haven't kept pace with inflation or what I've heard peers at other mining giants are getting. Definitely a cause for concern if they're trying to tighten the belt. Retention is key, and low raises can really impact morale.
