Worried about job security at NextEra - anyone else?

Is it just me, or has the atmosphere at NextEra become more tense lately? I've been here a while and haven't seen this level of anxiety about roles. We're hearing a lot of corporate speak about 'optimizing our portfolio' and 'focusing on core growth areas,' but it feels like code for something else. People are being more cagey about their futures, and I've overheard a few hushed conversations that sound less than optimistic. No official news, but the quiet anxiety is palpable. Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide feeling or if I'm just in a department that's feeling the heat more. Any insights from other parts of NEE would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed it too. It's unsettling when the 'corporate speak' starts. Feels like management is trying to soften the blow of something, but without clear communication, it just breeds speculation and worry. I've been trying to stay focused on my work, but it's hard when you feel like the ground is shifting under your feet. Hope it's just a temporary phase and things settle down soon, but it's definitely a concerning vibe.

Yeah, the 'optimization' and 'core growth' talk definitely sounds like restructuring is on the horizon. It's a shame, as the company has been so stable for a long time. I'm keeping my head down and doing my best, but I've also started discreetly updating my resume. It's always better to be prepared, even if it turns out to be nothing. Just hoping for some transparency soon so people can plan accordingly.
