Hey folks, been seeing a lot of chatter in general industry forums about potential slowdowns and subsequent layoffs. Haven't heard anything concrete for Nordson specifically, but wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on any vibes or whispers. Workload feels steady for me personally, but there's a general sense of unease in the air, you know? Maybe it's just the broader economic climate making everyone jumpy. Curious if any departments are seeing hiring freezes or if there's any talk about reorganizations happening internally. Trying to stay informed without falling into a panic spiral. I've been with Nordson for a few years and honestly, things feel pretty business as usual from my end. Workload is consistent, and I haven't noticed any significant shifts in project timelines or new initiatives being put on hold. It's easy to get caught up in the broader economic noise, but I'm not seeing any direct evidence of trouble within the company. It could very well be that our specific market segments are holding strong, insulating us from some of the wider concerns.

It's definitely a valid question to be asking, especially with how unpredictable things have been globally. While my department hasn't seen any major changes or heard any official word about slowdowns, I do get the sense that leadership is being more cautious with new spending and hiring approvals. It's not a panic, but more of a 'wait and see' approach. Could be proactive planning, or maybe they are sensing something on the horizon that they aren't ready to share widely.
