Anyone else feeling the Northern Trust jitters?

Hey all, just wanted to see if anyone else is getting that feeling of unease around Northern Trust lately. There's been a lot of quiet chatter, a few reorganizations in some departments, and a general sense of things being... off. Nothing concrete has been announced, of course, but the vibe isn't great. My team's workload has been weirdly high, and then suddenly quiet, which is never a good sign. I've been digging around internally, but people are pretty tight-lipped. Just wondering if I'm overthinking this or if others are picking up on the same signals. Trying to stay positive, but also want to be prepared if things do go south. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.

I hear you. It's definitely a weird time. My department hasn't seen major shifts, but the project pipeline feels unpredictable, which is unusual for this time of year. There's a lot of talk about 'streamlining operations' but without specifics, it just adds to the uncertainty. I'm trying to stay focused on my tasks, but the underlying unease is hard to shake off. Hopefully, it's just a cycle and things will stabilize soon.

I'm not surprised you're feeling it. The atmosphere has been a bit tense lately. While I haven't experienced the workload spikes firsthand, I have noticed a shift in communication from senior management. There's a lot more focus on efficiency metrics, and a general feeling that any disruption is being viewed very critically. It's understandable to feel anxious when the usual flow seems disrupted and information is scarce. Keeping a low profile and doing good work seems like the safest bet right now.
