Northern Trust: Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Been with Northern Trust for a few years now, and lately, the vibe in the office (and on Teams calls) feels... different. People are a lot more tight-lipped, meetings seem to be cut shorter, and there's this general sense of 'walking on eggshells.' I've heard a few whispers, nothing concrete, but enough to make me a bit nervous. Is anyone else picking up on this? Is it just my department, or is this a broader thing across the firm? Trying to gauge if I'm overthinking it or if there's actual smoke here. Just looking for some honest takes from others who are in the trenches.

I've noticed a similar shift, yes. It's subtle but definitely there. Conversations seem more guarded, and there's a palpable tension that wasn't present even a year ago. I'm not sure if it's specific teams or a firm-wide initiative, but it's creating an undercurrent of uncertainty. Trying to stay focused on my work, but it's hard not to be aware of the change in atmosphere.

I haven't personally felt a major change, but I can see how some departments might be experiencing that. Things are constantly evolving in finance, and sometimes those shifts manifest as increased pressure or a need for more discretion. I'd encourage you to keep your head down and focus on delivering results. If there are concrete issues, they usually surface eventually.
