Northern Trust: Is it just me or is the atmosphere getting tense?

Hey everyone, posting anonymously because, well, you know. Feeling a bit on edge lately. Beyond the recent WARN notice (which is obviously concerning), there's just a general vibe that things aren't as stable as they used to be. Projects are being re-prioritized constantly, there's a lot more scrutiny on budgets, and it feels like the 'belt-tightening' is more than just talk. I've noticed a definite slowdown in hiring, and even internal transfers seem harder to come by. Has anyone else picked up on this shift? Curious to hear if others are experiencing the same or if it's just my department/location feeling the pinch. Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide trend or something more localized.
