It is honestly exhausting watching the constant cycle of these so-called efficiency initiatives. The morale at the firm has been cratering for months, and seeing another round of cuts in Miami just confirms that leadership is prioritize optics over people. Everyone I talk to is polishing their resume because the transparency is nonexistent and the anxiety is palpable. If you are sitting in a seat that feels vulnerable, start looking elsewhere immediately because nobody seems to be safe from these quarterly layoffs anymore.
I have been tracking the WARN filings across several states, and it is definitely not just isolated to Miami. There is a systemic pattern of trimming headcount to pad the numbers before earnings calls, and it is hitting departments indiscriminately. Management loves to talk about long-term growth while they gut the actual teams doing the work. The culture has shifted from being a stable place to work into a revolving door of uncertainty. Seriously, if you have an opportunity to jump ship, take it before your role is next on the list.
