Northern Trust: Rumblings about restructuring and roles?

Hey everyone, been at NT for a few years now in operations. Lately, there's been a lot of talk, mostly whispers, about potential organizational changes. It's not like there's an official announcement or anything, but the vibe feels... off. Managers are being a bit cagey about future projects, and there's a general sense of uncertainty about where things are headed. Some teams seem to be consolidating, while others are suddenly getting a lot more 'strategic' focus, which usually translates to something big happening. Has anyone else picked up on this? Is it just internal reorgs or something more widespread that people are anticipating? Curious if anyone has heard anything more concrete, even if it's just office gossip. Trying to gauge the temperature here before things get more serious.

Yeah, I'm picking up on that too. It's definitely unsettling when leadership goes quiet on the big picture stuff. My manager's been pretty tight-lipped about team allocations for next year, which is unusual. The 'strategic focus' language always makes me nervous – feels like a prelude to a shuffle. Hope it's not as disruptive as it feels right now.

I've heard similar things. The operational side often feels the brunt of these shifts. Seeing some roles seemingly disappear while others are advertised internally for similar functions can't be a coincidence. The uncertainty is the worst part; it's hard to plan anything when you don't know what your team or role might look like in six months.
