Northern Trust: Seeing more 'reorgs' than usual lately?

Hey all, throwing this out there because I've been feeling a bit uneasy at NT for the past few months. It feels like there are constant 'team restructures' and 'efficiency drives' happening. Different departments are being shuffled around, roles are being redefined, and it's creating a lot of uncertainty. People are talking, but no one seems to have concrete answers. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's not outright layoffs, but the constant churn and the feeling of 'what's next?' is definitely impacting morale. Makes you wonder if it's a precursor to something bigger or just the new normal in financial services. Hard to focus when you're not sure if your role will even exist in the same capacity next quarter. Just looking for some shared experiences or insights from others on the platform.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a similar vibe. It's been a bit unsettling, to say the least. Lots of whispers about changes, but concrete information is scarce. Feels like everyone is just waiting for the next shoe to drop, even if it's not direct layoffs. This kind of constant shifting makes it hard to plan or feel secure in your role. Hope things settle down soon, but it's a tough atmosphere right now.

I'm right there with you. The internal comms have been pretty vague about what's driving all these restructures and 'efficiency initiatives.' It creates a lot of anxiety when you don't understand the 'why' behind the changes. People are trying to stay positive and adapt, but the lack of clarity is making it difficult. Definitely feeling the uncertainty, and it's impacting morale across the board.
