Anyone hearing whispers about potential RIFs?

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if I'm the only one picking up on some strange vibes lately. Haven't seen any official announcements or anything concrete, but there's been a lot of talk in my department about budget cuts and 'realignments.' My manager's been pretty cagey when I've asked about future projects or staffing levels. It feels like the usual holiday quiet is being amplified by something more significant. Been with NG for a few years now, and this is the first time I've felt this level of unease without any clear direction. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm in a specific pocket of uncertainty. Anyone else in a similar boat or have insights from other divisions?

I've been feeling similar unease. The "realignments" talk is definitely circulating in my group too, and the lack of clear communication is unsettling. It's hard to plan or even feel secure when the direction seems so unclear. Fingers crossed it's just normal end-of-year budget shuffling, but the gut feeling isn't great.

Yeah, I've heard some murmurs too, though nothing concrete. It's always tough to tell if it's just standard corporate speak or something more serious. Trying not to get too worked up, but the quiet on official channels when there's this much chatter is definitely noticeable. Let's hope for the best, but prepare for the worst, I guess.
