Morale seems low - anyone else noticing?

Hey everyone, Been with NG for a few years now, and lately, the vibe just feels… off. It's subtle, but I'm picking up on a lot more quiet anxieties and less of the usual camaraderie, especially in the last few months. People are holding their cards closer to their chest, and there's definitely a bit of a 'wait and see' attitude. I haven't heard any concrete rumors about impending layoffs, but the general atmosphere suggests something is brewing or at least being braced for. Are others in different divisions or locations picking up on this too? Is it just the usual defense industry ebb and flow, or is there something specific to NG right now? Curious to hear if anyone else feels this shift, and if you have any thoughts on why it might be happening. Trying to get a pulse on the situation without causing unnecessary panic. Just looking for some honest observations from fellow employees. Stay safe out there.

I've been here a while too and definitely feel the shift. It's not just you. There's a palpable tension, a sense of uncertainty that wasn't there before. Performance reviews felt more intense this cycle, and project timelines seem to be under constant scrutiny. It's hard to pinpoint, but the overall feeling is that things are tighter, and maybe more pressure is being applied from higher up. Just trying to stay focused on my own work and hope for the best. Fingers crossed it's just a temporary phase.

Interesting to hear others are feeling it too. It's easy to dismiss it as your own perception, but when multiple people are sensing a change, it's probably more than just a feeling. Maybe it's the current economic climate affecting the industry, or specific shifts within the company. Whatever it is, it's creating an environment where people are understandably a bit more guarded. Hopefully, leadership will address any underlying issues transparently soon to clear the air.
