Just saw the WARN notice for the Muncie facility confirming the 62 layoffs for the end of November. Honestly, it’s just another Tuesday at this point, but it still sucks seeing the numbers climb. I’ve been hearing whispers about 'optimization' for weeks, but seeing it on paper makes it feel way too real. For those of us still in the seat, are you guys actually seeing any transparency from leadership, or is it just the usual 'we are positioning for future growth' corporate speak? My manager has been radio silent, and the vibe in the office is absolutely toxic right now. It feels like we’re all just waiting for the next round of shoes to drop. If you’re in Muncie or linked to that program, hang in there. I’m already dusting off the resume because I don't trust the long-term stability here anymore. Does anyone know if there’s a severance package involved for this round, or are they just cutting ties and moving on?

It’s the classic playbook. They throw out phrases like 'optimizing operational efficiency' while everyone knows it’s just about padding the quarterly margins. Transparency is a myth at this level; you’ll get the same canned email they send out every single time they need to trim the fat. Don't look for honesty from management when they're already busy finalizing the next round of cuts behind closed doors. Just protect your own interests and keep your resume updated because loyalty to a legacy defense contractor is a one-way street these days.
