Nucor - Anyone else feeling the squeeze?

Hey everyone, been working at Nucor for a few years now at the [mention general area/type of facility, e.g., 'sheet mill' or 'rebar plant']. Haven't heard any official word or seen any major red flags, but there's definitely a low hum of uncertainty going around. Order books seem a little softer than they were last year, and the constant talk about global supply and demand shifts is starting to get to me. Management's been pretty tight-lipped, which isn't unusual, but in this climate, it just adds to the speculation. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on similar vibes, or if it's just my location. Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground, especially in different divisions. Is production really slowing down anywhere, or are we just in a cyclical dip? Trying not to let the noise get to me, but it's hard.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too, even out here at the [e.g., 'bar mill']. Things aren't exactly dire, but the usual frantic pace has definitely slowed. Used to be you'd barely have time to catch your breath, now there's a bit more downtime. Management's always been good at managing expectations, but you can't help but read between the lines when things get quiet. Hopefully, it's just a seasonal dip.

Totally get what you're saying. In the [e.g., 'plate mill'], we've seen a slight uptick in scheduled maintenance days. It's not alarming by any stretch, but it's definitely a change from the non-stop production we've gotten used to. The whispers about the broader economy definitely don't help the peace of mind. Fingers crossed it's just a temporary lull before things pick back up again.
