Nucor: Anyone else feeling the pressure on costs?

Lurking around Nucor for a while, and wanted to start a thread about cost-saving measures. Seems like there's a lot more emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'resource optimization' lately in team meetings. I'm not talking about the usual lean manufacturing stuff, but something feels more pointed. I've been at the [redacted] facility for about 5 years, and while we've always been a lean operation, the constant nudges to scrutinize every expenditure, from travel to overtime to even minor supply orders, is becoming pretty pervasive. It's not a complaint, per se, but I'm wondering if this is a company-wide push or just localized to our area. Is anyone else seeing a similar trend? Are there any internal memos or discussions you've been a part of that shed light on this? Trying to get a pulse on whether this is a strategic shift to bolster margins ahead of potential market headwinds or just standard seasonal adjustments. Open to hearing any perspectives.
