Totally get where you're coming from. I'm on the software side, and it's the same story. The expectations are sky-high, and while the rewards can be great, the constant pressure to innovate and deliver is exhausting. I think it's a consequence of their success – they're trying to capitalize on it as much as possible. Just try to prioritize your mental health and remember that you're not alone in feeling this way. Don't be afraid to use your vacation time! Burnout is a real threat.
Seven years is a long time to stay at one company, especially in this industry. Maybe it's time to look around and see what other opportunities are out there. This may give you some leverage in your current negotiations, or you may like what you find better! There's always going to be pressure in high-growth companies, but it shouldn't come at the expense of your well-being. Don't be afraid to explore other options if you're feeling consistently stressed and undervalued.
