Anyone else feeling the pressure despite no official word?

Been at Nvidia for a few years now, and lately, there's just this… vibe. You hear whispers, people are a bit more guarded in meetings. I know Jensen himself has spoken out against using generative tech as a layoff excuse, which is good, but the broader semiconductor industry is definitely seeing some consolidation and slowdowns. We've had some reorganizations in my team, and while no one's been outright let go, roles have shifted, and there's definitely an undercurrent of 'what's next?'. My main concern is that even if leadership is genuinely against it, external market pressures or investor sentiment could force their hand. It's hard to just ignore what's happening with other big tech companies and even some of our partners/competitors. Has anyone else picked up on this? Are there any specific divisions or roles that seem more vulnerable, or is it just general unease across the board? Trying to stay optimistic but also want to be realistic.

I feel you. That 'vibe' is palpable, even from the outside looking in. The industry is in such a weird flux right now, and it's natural for people on the inside to feel that uncertainty. Reorganizations and shifting roles can be stressful, even if layoffs aren't immediately apparent. Keeping your head down and focusing on delivering strong results is probably the best bet. Hope things settle down for you and your team soon.

It's a tough climate for sure. The shifts you're describing sound like classic signs of internal adjustments to market pressures or strategic realignments. Even with strong leadership messaging, that feeling of the unknown can be unsettling. Staying adaptable and focusing on your contributions will be key. It's good that Jensen has spoken out against misusing new tech as a cover for workforce changes, that's a positive signal.
