Rant: The constant pressure is unreal

Seriously, I'm so burnt out. The workload has been insane the past year, and the deadlines are just completely unreasonable. My team is constantly being asked to do more with less, and the VP keeps talking about "efficiency gains" and "synergy." It all feels like corporate buzzword bingo to justify squeezing every last drop of productivity out of us. I'm working nights and weekends just to keep my head above water, and I'm starting to resent this place. Is anyone else feeling this way? I feel like if one more thing goes wrong, I'm going to lose it.

I hear you. I was in a similar situation a few years back. The "do more with less" mantra is a classic sign of trouble. Start documenting everything – the hours you're working, the tasks you're completing, and the unrealistic deadlines. This will be invaluable if you decide to push back or start looking for another job. Don't let them burn you out completely. Your health and well-being are more important.

Honestly, every big tech company is like this to some extent. It's a high-pressure environment, and they expect a lot. While I sympathize with feeling overworked, remember that the compensation is usually commensurate with the demands. Maybe instead of just ranting, consider actively looking for solutions? Talk to your manager, delegate tasks if possible, or even explore other opportunities within the company that might be a better fit.
