Management communication is getting eerily quiet

Is it just me, or has the communication from leadership become incredibly sterile lately? We had the town hall last week and they basically glossed over the margin pressure entirely, focusing only on the 'innovation pipeline.' It’s the same script they used right before the last round of cuts three years ago. I’m noticing a lot of back-channel chatter on Teams, and the senior managers look like they haven’t slept in a week. If they’re planning a re-org, I wish they’d just rip the band-aid off so we can stop wasting energy speculating. The silence is making everyone hyper-paranoid.

I noticed the same thing during the town hall. It feels like they are reading off a teleprompter while the building is on fire. Every time they pivot to the 'innovation pipeline' rather than addressing the actual margins, it’s a massive red flag. The lack of transparency is honestly more exhausting than just hearing the bad news. If another restructuring is coming, they really need to stop treating us like we can't read a balance sheet. It’s impossible to plan for the future when leadership refuses to be honest about the present.

Maybe I’m just cynical after being here for so long, but silence is usually the loudest signal in this company. Those tired looks on the senior managers aren't a coincidence; they know exactly what's hitting the schedule, even if they aren't authorized to say it yet. Stop looking for answers in the official comms—those are drafted by PR to keep the stock price stable, not to inform us. Keep your resume polished and stay close to your contacts. When the 'innovation' talk ramps up this much, it’s always a cover for something painful.
