Otis: Signs of slowing down?

Hey folks, been seeing some chatter and feeling a general sense of unease around Otis lately. Not hearing about any specific layoffs, but the vibe feels different. Projects seem to be getting scrutinized more, travel is getting tighter, and I've noticed a few roles that were open for a while are now closed. Is anyone else picking up on this? Maybe a hiring pause is in effect or they're just being more selective. Curious to hear what others are experiencing across different departments and locations. Trying to gauge the overall health of the company beyond the official PR.

I've definitely noticed a shift too. It's less about drastic cuts and more about a subtle tightening. Project approvals are taking longer, and there's a palpable sense of caution. It feels like the company is taking a more conservative approach, which isn't necessarily bad, but it does change the day-to-day atmosphere. I'm wondering if this is a strategic move for the long term or just a temporary belt-tightening period.

Interesting observation. I'm in operations, and while we haven't had any major changes, there's a definite increase in scrutiny on resource allocation. Budgets are being examined more closely, and there's a push for efficiency across the board. It's not a crisis, but it suggests a more measured approach to growth and spending. Perhaps they're preparing for a more challenging economic climate or focusing on optimizing existing operations.
