PACCAR - What's the latest on hiring freeze/slowdown?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to see if anyone has recent intel on hiring at PACCAR. I've noticed job postings seem to be fewer and farther between lately, and some positions I was tracking have disappeared entirely. My manager vaguely mentioned 'budget constraints' when I asked about a new role opening up on our team. Doesn't feel like a full-blown freeze, but definitely a slowdown compared to what it was a year ago. Is this a company-wide thing or specific to certain divisions? Trying to gauge the overall health of the company and if this is a precursor to something bigger. Any information, even anecdotal, would be appreciated. Trying to plan my next steps and need a clearer picture.

I've heard similar whispers. It does seem like things have tightened up considerably across the board over the last quarter. Positions aren't being backfilled as quickly, and approvals for new headcount are definitely being scrutinized more than they were previously. It's not a complete halt, but the pace has definitely slowed. Wondering if it's a reaction to market conditions or something more strategic.

From my perspective in engineering, it's definitely a slowdown. We've seen a few requisitions get put on hold indefinitely, and even internal transfers are taking longer to process. The 'budget constraints' explanation seems to be the common theme. It's a bit concerning, given how much growth we experienced the year before. Hopefully, it's a temporary adjustment rather than a sign of deeper issues.
