729 headcount reduction—what’s the word on severance?

Just saw the official WARN notice for the Feb 28th exit date. 729 people is a massive chunk for a company that kept bragging about 'streamlined efficiency' all last quarter. Does anyone know if they are actually honoring the standard packages or if they’re pulling the 'performance-based' card to cheap out on exit terms? I’ve been hearing mixed reports from the folks in Denver versus the remote hubs. It feels like the rug pull happened overnight, despite the Q4 messaging. Checking in to see if those impacted have received their formal packets yet or if we’re still in the dark. Please stay anonymous, but curious if anyone has heard if they’re offering extensions on vest dates or if it’s just the bare minimum. Honestly, the mood is completely dead in the office today.

It sounds like they’re trying to keep the severance details under wraps to prevent a mass exodus before the actual date. Based on what I’ve heard from the Denver folks, they are sticking to the standard package for the majority, but they are definitely using 'performance metrics' to justify lower payouts for those who were already on thin ice. Don't take the first offer they send over—if your documentation doesn't align with their 'performance' narrative, you should push back. The disparity between remote and office staff seems intentional to stir up confusion and keep people from organizing.
