Anyone else feeling super anxious lately?

Been at Palantir (Forward Deployed Engineer) for almost 4 years now, and I can't shake this feeling that something's about to give. Maybe it's just the general economic climate, but the vibes are off. My team's been told to 'optimize resource allocation' which sounds like corporate speak for 'do more with less' or even worse. Anyone hearing anything through the grapevine? Or am I just being paranoid? I'm trying to stay focused but it's hard when your brain is constantly running worst-case scenarios. Anyone else feeling the same way? Maybe we can at least commiserate.

I feel you, buddy. Been there, done that. 'Optimize resource allocation' is classic pre-layoff talk. Start polishing your resume and reach out to your network now. Better to be proactive than scrambling later. Maybe even consider a side hustle to feel more in control. Hope I'm wrong, but better safe than sorry.

Honestly, 4 years at Palantir is a good run. It's a demanding place. Maybe you're just burned out? Before you jump to conclusions about layoffs, consider taking some time off. Even a week can make a difference. Come back refreshed and see if the 'vibes' are still the same. Perspective is everything.
