Anyone else feeling the pre-layoff jitters at Palantir right now?

I've been at Palantir for almost 4 years, in a Gotham-adjacent role. Lately, things have felt...off. Projects are getting cancelled or quietly put on hold. Hiring has completely frozen, even for critical roles. I'm seeing more and more senior people suddenly 'taking time off'. It all feels eerily similar to what happened at my last company before a major layoff. I know Palantir has a reputation for being lean, but this feels different. Am I just being paranoid, or is anyone else sensing a storm brewing? Should I be updating my resume?

I hear you. I'm on the Foundry side and have noticed a similar slowdown. Less internal tooling being built, more focus on revenue-generating projects, and a general sense of anxiety. It could just be the market adjusting, but the 'sudden time off' thing is a red flag. Start polishing your resume just in case, and maybe reach out to your network. Better to be prepared.

Honestly, this happens every few quarters. Palantir is notoriously cyclical. They overhire, then trim the fat. Then overhire again when they land a big contract. I wouldn't panic yet. Look at the big picture - are they still landing deals? Are the fundamentals solid? If so, it's probably just normal operating procedure. Maybe use this as an excuse to take *your* time off!
